My twin sis and I occasionally mix up our memories from when we were little. We used to argue what happened to who, but now we just go with “one of us.” I only assume the Pines Twins run into this problem as well!
gah… I had it all as one nicely animated gif but tumblr just wouldn’t upload it!!! Grrrrrrr…. So four panels it is!
Sarah J is one of my favorite artists on tumblr. She is one of the few that consistently brings her art to life through animation. Whether it is her adorable raccoon on a sled or her famous Ordinary Batman Adventures.
I recently had the pleasure of working with her on my comic about fat shaming. It was an important piece for me and it caused a lot of great discussion. Sarah was an absolute pleasure to work with and I can’t thank her enough for her hard work. She is kind and sweet and an amazing talent. I hope you will all consider following her and perhaps even buy some of her amazing merchandise.
There are people who are convinced that shame and guilt are effective ways to motivate someone to address their weight issues. A recent study has indicated that this method can actually make things much worse.
When a person with overeating issues gets depressed, food is often what they use to seek comfort. You are not helping. You are not being supportive. You are not giving us “tough love.” You are triggering our depression and causing us to eat even more.
Please stop making us eat your words. They are very… fattening.
